Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Laboratory Scientist to perform waived, moderate or high complexity tests and support QC, maintenance, and new testing implementations.

Qualifications

• Meet CLIA education options as outlined for LS I–IV.
• Must have appropriate degree or validated equivalent as described.
• Ensure familiarity with basic QC and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents clinical laboratory testing with independent judgment.
• Notes abnormal results and informs supervisor or pathologist.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and interfaces.
• Performs routine QC/QA logging and data collection.
• Assists with troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Participates in regulatory inspections and training.
• May assist with specimen handling and POCT oversight.

Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical science

Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

60 semester hours with chemistry/biology coursework
