Qualifications

• Two years of Laboratory Scientist II at TriCore or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology + two years clinical lab experience.
• Bachelor’s in biology/chemistry + four years direct clinical lab experience.
• Military medical lab training + biology/chemistry degree + 3 years direct clinical lab testing.
• Associate’s degree + four years direct clinical lab experience or equivalent.
• Option to meet CLIA-qualified criteria prior to 1992 accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Laboratory Scientist II with high proficiency.
• Prioritize and coordinate workload across shifts and departments.
• Supervise shifts as needed and facilitate workflow.
• Train new employees and ensure bench rotation competency.
• Maintain QC/QA tracking and troubleshoot problems.
• Prepare for inspections (CAP, safety, internal).
• Consult with pathologists and supervisors on technical issues.
• Communicate effectively within the department.
