Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Scientist for our Lovelace Westside Hospital site. The role performs waived to high complexity tests, maintains equipment, and ensures quality control to support accurate patient diagnoses.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, QA data collection, and assisting with staff training. The position requires CLIA-compliant qualifications and the ability to work a Monday–Friday schedule with potential holiday/on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical science or equivalent qualification per CLIA.
• Demonstrated ability to perform waived, moderate, or high complexity testing.
• Experience with quality control procedures and regulatory inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, or high complexity laboratory tests for diagnosis.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and interfaces.
• Document QC/QA activities and monitor trends.
• Assist with training of new staff and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in POCT oversight and QA reviews.
