Job summary

Merieux NutriSciences in Crete, IL is seeking a Sample Receiving Technician to log in samples, assign IDs in the LIMS, and prepare documentation for analysis.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, with occasional overtime if FedEx is late. The role involves ensuring sample integrity, packaging for shipping, and assisting with client reports while supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1+ year relevant work experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree.
• Basic computer operation skills to enter data into LIMS and generate reports.
• Knowledge of microbiology and chemistry is helpful for identifying proper sample/test codes.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log in samples, assign identification numbers, and enter data into LIMS.
• Contact clients to clarify missing or unclear information for accurate coding.
• Store samples properly and maintain sample integrity until analysis is complete.
