Job summary

Merieux NutriSciences in Columbus, OH is seeking a Sample Receiving Technician to support the lab's workflow by receiving and processing samples. The role includes training new technicians and answering technical questions in a lead capacity.

The candidate should have at least 2 years in a lab, with safety knowledge, data entry skills, and strong communication abilities. Regular full-time position with benefits is offered at a US location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years lab experience with safety procedures.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience acceptable.
• Experience in Receiving departments preferred.
• Proven data entry and clerical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; client service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Sample Receiving department and train new technicians.
• Support documentation procedures and provide instructions when needed.
• Discuss time management improvements with supervisor or manager.
• Train new staff on sample receiving and log-in procedures.
• Receive and log-in samples in the LIMS system and assist re-testing.
• Communicate sample issues with internal/external clients by phone.
• Schedule lab assignments when leads are unavailable.
• Ensure all samples are accounted for and issues are followed up.
• Collaborate with leadership to create, investigate and resolve CCNC.
