Job summary

Ocean Beach Health is seeking a Laboratory & Diagnostic Services Manager to lead the Laboratory and Radiology Departments with a focus on quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction.

The role requires a BS in medical technology or related sciences, ASCP/AMT certification, and 5 years of clinical experience, plus 2+ years in leadership. Washington licensure and a commitment to staff development are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in medical technology or chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
• ASCP or AMT certification for Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist; five years clinical experience.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomy License through WA State DOH.
• 2+ years of leadership experience; project management and employee engagement.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and meeting-management skills.
• Leadership to motivate cross-departmental teams and improve organizational effectiveness.
• Experience maintaining laboratory licensure and related inspections.

Responsibilities

• Direct Laboratory and Radiology Departments and supervise technical staff.
• Ensure quality control and quality assurance guidelines for accurate patient care.
• Monitor chargemaster and prepare inspection reports; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop and apply department policies, budgets, billing practices, and long-range plans.
• Provide leadership and supervision to day-to-day operations and engage staff.
