Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Lab Director to oversee the clinical laboratory and multiple departments, ensuring high-quality, compliant operations. You will lead administration, finance, quality assurance, and personnel activities, driving system-wide standardization and performance against KPIs.

The role requires a BS in a scientific field, 5+ years of supervisory experience, and a preferred CLS/MLS license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a scientific field to meet CLIA requirements.
• Valid license/certificate as CLS/MT/MLS or ASCP preferred.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory clinical laboratory experience.
• General accounting, statistics, and financial operating experience.
• Quality control and quality tools training desired.
• LEAN Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the clinical laboratory and related departments, including admin, finance, compliance, quality, technical, and personnel activities.
• Provide operational guidance to local site management and ensure system-wide standardization.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, TJC, and ACHC; align with Corporate Laboratory Operations.
• Meet or exceed corporate/site KPIs for finance, quality, and service; manage instrumentation, supplies, and LIS.
• Perform routine laboratory testing as needed.
