Job summary

Ocean Beach Health is seeking a Laboratory & Diagnostic Services Manager to lead the Laboratory and Radiology Departments, ensuring state/federal and HIPAA compliance and delivering high-quality patient care. The role oversees staff, quality control, budgeting, and operational excellence while partnering across the organization to optimize patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in medical technology or chemical, physical, or biological sciences is required.
• ASCP or AMT certification for Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist and five years of clinical experience is required.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomy License through the Washington State Department of Health.
• 2+ years of Leadership experience in planning, executing activities, and employee engagement.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to facilitate meetings.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Laboratory and Radiology Department activities and staff.
• Ensure Quality Control and Quality Assurance guidelines for accurate patient care.
• Monitor compliance with licensure, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and interpret departmental policies, budgets, and long-range plans.
• Maintain chargemaster and support reimbursement practices.
• Lead cross-departmental collaboration and staff development.
