Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee moderate and high complexity testing at the Milton and Quincy Urgent Care labs. The role ensures quality control, equipment maintenance, and adherence to regulatory policies to provide accurate patient results.

In collaboration with the Nurse Educator, you will drive staff training, competency assessments, and ongoing education while maintaining readiness for inspections and proficiency programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or medical technology required.
• 2–5 years of hospital-based clinical laboratory experience required; management experience preferred.
• Experience with CAP, TJC, OSHA regulations and quality systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee moderate and high complexity testing at the Quincy Urgent Care Laboratory and Milton Lab sections.
• Oversee quality control, equipment maintenance, and calibration scheduling for analyzers and critical equipment.
• Develop and maintain section procedures; ensure compliance with CAP, TSOs and regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate staff training, competency evaluation, and in-service education.
• Ensure readiness for regulatory inspections and participate in proficiency testing.
