Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to oversee daily lab operations, ensure timely, accurate patient results and maintain high quality controls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in science, 3+ years of MT experience with at least one bench area, and MT registry eligibility (ASCP preferred). On-site position in Newburyport, MA with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field required.
• At least three years experience as a Medical Technologist, with demonstrated expertise in at least one of the assigned bench areas.
• Medical Technologist registry eligible.
• Preferred: Medical Technologist registered (ASCP or applicable).

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure effective, efficient, safe and patient-centered services.
• Acts as liaison between staff and management and informs management of operational issues.
• Enforces policies and procedures to ensure compliant, safe lab operations.
• Performs tests using manual methods or automated instrumentation with attention to quality and specimen integrity.
• Inputs quality control data and patient results into EMR for timely clinician access.
