Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related field.
• Three years progressively more responsible management experience in an acute care facility.
• MT (ASCP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers the effective management and delivery of diagnostic laboratory procedures in compliance with hospital, system and regulatory standards.
• Ensures quality, financial, and customer service objectives are met.
• Develops and administers budgets to meet department goals and monitors adherence to budgets.
• Serves as technical resource to staff in resolving problems and investigating corrective actions.
• Reviews and approves equipment modifications, new supplies, and minor purchases.
• Initiates and manages major capital expenses with vendors and bids.
