Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related fields.
• Three years progressively more responsible management experience in an acute care facility with at least one year of frequent involvement with senior management, physicians, other health care providers, and external providers and purchasers.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers the effective management and delivery of diagnostic laboratory procedures in accordance with standards.
• Ensures quality, financial, and customer service objectives are met.
• Develops and administers budgets for departmental goals and objectives.
• Serves as technical resource to subordinates in resolving problems and in investigating corrective actions.
• Reviews and approves department equipment modifications, new supplies, and minor equipment purchases.
• Initiates bidding process with vendors for major capital expense items.
