The role collaborates with the Technical Specialist on process improvements, oversees new employee orientation, and represents the lab in committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations, quality control, and regulatory standards.
• Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Certification from a recognized accrediting body preferred (e.g., ASCP, AMT).

Responsibilities

• Supervise MLA staff, review timekeeping, and develop staff schedules.
• Enforce laboratory protocols and administer competency assessments.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with Technical Specialist on process optimization.
• Represent the laboratory in meetings and committees.
