Altasciences in Columbia, MO is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support anatomic pathology and research teams. You will manage inventory, prepare materials, coordinate sample processing, and keep lab spaces organized, compliant, and ready for study execution.

This role suits someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with inventory systems, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1+ year of related experience preferred.

Competenze

• 1+ year of experience in inventory control, laboratory support, research operations, manufacturing, healthcare, warehouse coordination, or a related environment.
• Experience managing supplies, stock rooms, laboratory inventories, or sample tracking systems is highly desirable.
• High School Diploma or GED required; related coursework asset.
• Experience in a fast-paced research environment with GLP compliance is a plus.

Mansioni

• Manage laboratory inventory, monitor stock levels, order supplies, receive materials, and maintain adequate inventory for daily operations.
• Prepare materials, equipment, and supplies needed for study-related procedures.
• Follow GLP, ALCOA+, USDA, AAALAC, safety, and company quality standards; ensure accurate documentation and inventory controls.
• Support pathology procedures including tissue handling, sample collection, tissue processing, and necropsy-related activities.
