Elemental Enzymes is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support daily laboratory operations in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities include preparing reagents, media, and plates using aseptic technique; maintaining lab equipment; and supporting inventory and warehouse activities. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred coursework in biology/chemistry and experience with lab safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; further studies preferred.
• Experience with media or reagent preparation and aseptic techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with lab safety, equipment, and inventory management is helpful.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reagents, growth media, and media plates using aseptic technique.
• Fulfill lab requests timely based on priorities.
• Perform maintenance, calibration, and validation of lab instruments as trained.
• Operate an autoclave for sterilization of labware and materials.
• Maintain and clean glassware and reusable supplies.
• Follow SOPs and documentation requirements.
• Maintain safe working environment and daily lab readiness.
• Utilize ELN and general lab systems as required.
• Support routine lab activities based on research needs.
