Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a Laboratory Assistant in Beaver Township, PA to support pathology and research teams by managing inventory, preparing materials, coordinating sample processing, and keeping spaces organized and compliant for study execution.

You will work closely with veterinarians and scientists to ensure supplies, samples, and equipment are available, properly documented, and maintained to GLP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in inventory control or laboratory support.

Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory inventory and stock levels.
• Maintain wet tissue storage inventories and records.
• Prepare tissue cassettes, labels, and study materials.
• Coordinate sample storage, tracking, and shipment prep.
• Verify balances and laboratory equipment functioning.
• Record data and inventories in electronic and paper systems.
• Support waste management and maintain cleanliness for inspection readiness.
