Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience in a biological and/or chemical laboratory.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting a wide variety of laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience in environmental health, occupational health, occupational safety, chemistry, biology, environmental engineering, or related field.
• Experience preparing written reports detailing test results.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Eligible to obtain a Secret level security clearance (U.S. citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple laboratories including BSL2/BSL2+, chemical, health engineering and human performance facilities.
• Organize equipment maintenance and service contracts.
• Support general procurement needs.
• Coordinate with the environmental health and safety office and group staff to implement safety practices across laboratories.
• Develop new or revised procedures to optimize laboratory function for multi-disciplinary work.
• Facilitate a culture that promotes safety.
