Job summary

Precise Software Solutions, Inc. is seeking an IT Laboratory Support Specialist to provide first-line IT support for twelve laboratories, focusing on instrument controllers and LIMS end-user assistance.

The role requires a mix of laboratory and IT experience, strong communication, and the ability to work remotely with a dispersed team. Occasional travel may be required for in-person support.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum in a laboratory environment providing hands-on IT support or lab duties or a degree in a laboratory science.
• 2 years IT support with direct user contact and strong customer service.
• Laboratory IT experience or related degree preferred.
• Must pass background check and secure Public Trust clearance.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents across Windows and Mac platforms.
• Resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners.
• Record, update, and document requests in the IT service desk system; ensure prompt resolution.
• Collaborate with lab staff to resolve issues without disrupting workflows.
• Install and configure new IT equipment and assist with moves and networking of lab equipment.
• Provide day-to-day LIMS support and end-user training; manage user accounts.
