Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking a Customer Service Associate to serve as a liaison between the Clinical Laboratory and its physicians and clients. You will convey patient result information, answer inquiries, and ensure courteous, accurate communication.

Responsibilities include contacting outpatients for recollects, entering verbal orders, obtaining test results, and coordinating special test requests with lab sections. A High School diploma and healthcare experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year laboratory or healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Ability to use medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians, hospital staff, and customers by phone or email.
• Contact outpatients for recollects as directed.
• Receive, interpret, and process orders from physicians, physician office personnel, and nursing staff.
• Enter orders into scheduling software.
• Obtain test results and answer status questions.
• Coordinate special test requests with lab sections.
• Assist in training new personnel on customer support procedures.
