Job summary

Riverview Health in Noblesville, IN seeks a Laboratory Assistant to provide general laboratory services on a 32‑hour weekly schedule (4A‑11A) with weekend and holiday rotation. You will greet patients, collect samples, process specimens, and manage data entry in the LIS while coordinating with off‑site facilities.

Responsibilities include specimen transport, order entry, and ensuring compliance with lab policies.

Qualifications

Minimum: High School Diploma.
Preferred: Phlebotomy Certificate and/or Associates degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences and at least one year full‑time laboratory training or experience or both.
Minimum: Experience with data entry, medical terminology and customer service or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable job knowledge can be acquired.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and enter test orders; collect blood samples.
Transport specimens from off-site facilities; include driving in some cases and comply with safety policies.
Process specimens; enter data into LIS and track pending items.
Maintain supplies and assist with training of new staff.
Follow policies and ensure accurate reporting and reporting protocols.
