Job summary

Riverview Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to provide general laboratory services, greet patients, input test orders, collect venous and capillary blood, and transport specimens to in-house or reference laboratories. Some off-site collection may require driving your own vehicle.

Hours are 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, eight-hour shifts, Monday–Friday with rotating weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include processing specimens in LIS, stocking supplies, and supporting QA activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• Associates degree in sciences preferred.
• 1 year of lab/phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect blood specimens
• Process specimens using LIS and enter data
• Transport specimens to in-house or reference laboratories (driving may be required)
• Stock phlebotomy supplies and maintain equipment
• Support compliance and proper specimen handling
