Job summary

Sanford Health’s Black Hills area facility in Rapid City, SD, is hiring for a part-time phlebotomist to join the laboratory team. You will perform phlebotomy, collect and process specimens, and support routine lab tasks in a 12-hour shift schedule.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with completion of a phlebotomy program and BLS certification beneficial. The role requires accuracy in lab data, attention to safety, and the ability to work with other lab staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, collect and process specimens.
• Assist in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks.
• Enter laboratory orders and results; ensure data accuracy and safety.

Job Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens. Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.

Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
