Job summary

Sanford Health in Brookings, SD, is seeking a Phlebotomist for the Brookings Clinic. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen collection, preparation and processing, with a focus on accurate, safe lab data in a professional environment.

The position is full-time on day shift, 7am-2pm, with a 30-hour weekly schedule and a sign-on bonus depending on eligibility. A High School diploma or GED and phlebotomy training are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy including collection, preparation and processing of specimens.
• Assist in laboratory activities and other assigned tasks.
• Enter laboratory orders and results and ensure data accuracy and quality.

Job Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens. Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.

Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
