The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, at least 6 months of lab assistant experience, and may hold phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Six (6) months of prior experience as a lab assistant.
• Certification in Phlebotomy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process bone marrow specimens.
• Assist technologists with instruments, reagents, and maintenance.
• Operate, maintain, and repair clinical laboratory equipment.
• Complete culture setup and gram stain prep in Microbiology when staffed.
• Perform phlebotomy to ensure timely processing of orders.
• Provide laboratory customer service and clerical support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
