Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• May perform cytopreparatory staining and accessions surgical cases with knowledge of anatomy.
• May receive and set up primary specimen cultures, inoculating petri dishes for bacterial growth.
• May clean and disinfect laboratory equipment and spaces, maintaining inventory control.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and evaluates new equipment/procedures.
• Collects patient, physician, and test information to create patient accounts and verify details.
• May perform blood specimen collection (phlebotomy) for all age groups.
• Performs point of care testing, quality control and reporting results.
• Transports and processes patient specimens and handles hazardous waste per policy.
