Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our laboratory team in Florida. You will perform blood collection, prepare specimens, and support routine lab operations in a dynamic hospital setting.

The role requires phlebotomy skills, strong English communication, and a commitment to safety and quality. Training and advancement opportunities are available within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy training preferred.
• Phlebotomy training program preferred; technical/vocational schooling helps.
• Experience with clinical or hospital lab support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and blood collection per procedures.
• Prepare and set up primary specimen cultures and related lab tasks.
• Maintain clean and safe lab environment and inventory.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and evaluate new equipment.
• Provide patient and staff education and resolve customer service issues within guidelines.
