Job Summary

This Laboratory Assistant is responsible for receiving and processing laboratory specimens and requisitions, ensuring the accuracy of information processed. You will act in the best interest of patient care and Gravity Diagnostics, serving as a liaison between our lab and customers. This role also involves performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties.

Department: Lab Operations

Reports to: Accessioning

Pay Group: Non-Exempt

Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday | 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Responsibilities and Duties

• Follow and adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program along with all HIPAA guidelines.
• Receive and process laboratory specimens and requisitions, enter data into the online database, and label specimens.
• Organize medical supply kits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma required.

Physical Requirements

• Some safety risks when doing analysis.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
