  • Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification required upon hire.

Job description

Description

Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff, receiving/accessioning and/or processing specimens according to laboratory procedures. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED

  • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college or military program

  • Upon hire:

  • Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification --or--

  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior phlebotomy experience
