Job summary

Mott Community College seeks a Labor Relations Specialist to help administer six labor agreements and assist with contract administration. The role serves the Manager, Labor Relations and focuses on delivering excellent service to college staff and faculty while ensuring compliance with NLRA and FLSA.

The position emphasizes collaboration within Human Resources and requires strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist, Labor Relations Specialist, or in a comparable role with direct union interaction.
• At least two years of experience interpreting and administering contract language.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, particularly the National Labor Relations Act ( NLRA ) and the Fair Labor Standards Act ( FLSA ).

• Assist with labor relations and contract administration for multiple labor agreements.
• Serve as specialist to the Manager, Labor Relations in administering six labor agreements.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve routine employee inquiries.
