Job summary

White Cap is seeking a Labor Optimization Specialist to improve labor utilization, standards, and workflows across branch operations. You will run time studies, develop standards, and implement data-driven solutions to boost efficiency and service levels.

The role involves collaborating with operations leaders, launching cross-functional improvement initiatives, and ensuring sustainable labor measurement practices. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline required.
• Certified Lean/Six Sigma is preferred in some areas.
• 2–5 years of related experience; MS/MA with 2–4 years acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze labor utilization, productivity, throughput, and performance metrics.
• Conduct time and motion studies and establish labor standards.
• Develop and maintain labor management systems and reporting processes.
• Evaluate branch layouts and workflows; recommend efficiency improvements.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to eliminate waste and optimize performance.
• Partner with leaders to drive adoption of standards and SOPs.
• Lead improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams without direct supervision.
• Produce analyses and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Ensure consistency and sustainability of measurement methodologies.
