Job summary

Ross Stores seeks a Productivity Engineer I to develop engineered labor standards and best-method practices in a high-volume distribution setting. You will maintain SQL-based production recording and labor systems and collaborate with operations managers to implement efficient methods.

Responsibilities include data collection, reporting, and analysis to support labor forecasting and budgeting, with travel up to 50% for site support and projects.

Qualifications

• SQL or MS Access databases knowledge.
• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
• Time study, work measurement, and warehouse data collection experience preferred.
• Operations knowledge of distribution and related processes preferred.
• Ability to communicate with non-exempt associates and management; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Able to work varying schedules across shifts; understand process flow.

Responsibilities

• Develops best methods, standard conditions and engineered labor standards for multi-variable production operations.
• Identifies and evaluates improvements in methods, procedures, and workflow to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Coordinates implementation of engineered methods and reporting systems with meetings and presentations.
• Maintains production reporting applications and interfaces with timekeeping, WMS and labor systems.
• Executes queries and reports for engineering data; maintains SQL and MS Access based tools.
• Collects and summarizes time study data to support engineered standards.
• Supports labor forecasting, staffing, modeling and bonus reporting for engineering projects.
• Advises management with labor analysis and economic justification studies.
