Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice Group. This hybrid role offers substantial responsibility, direct client interaction, and work on sophisticated matters for a diverse client base in a fast-paced, nationally recognized practice.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of substantive employment law experience, with a strong focus on wage and hour litigation and counseling, and an active New York Bar admission.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing.
• 5–7 years of substantive employment law experience, with a strong focus on wage and hour litigation and counseling.
• Experience advising employers on wage and hour compliance.
• Experience handling complex wage-and-hour matters, including class, collective and representative actions.
• Experience defending and prosecuting breaches of restrictive covenants.
• Experience preparing and negotiating employment agreements, including executive compensation provisions.
• Ability to leverage AI-driven technologies to improve efficiency, client service, and legal work products.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters, from inception through resolution.
• Advise employers on complex workplace law issues, including employee relations, compliance, and risk management.
• Draft and negotiate employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and executive compensation provisions.
• Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
• Aptitude to apply AI driven and emerging technologies effectively to enhance efficiency, client service, and legal work product.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs.
