Connectly Recruiting is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for its Labor & Employment Practice Group in New York. Hybrid work model. You will handle sophisticated wage-and-hour matters, advise on compliance, and negotiate employment agreements for a diverse client base.

Ideal candidate has 5–7 years of employment law experience, NY bar in good standing, and a track record in complex litigation and restrictive covenants. The role emphasizes client service and strategic teamwork.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active New York Bar Admission in good standing.
• 5–7 years of substantive employment law experience with a focus on wage and hour litigation and counseling.
• Experience advising employers on compliance with federal, state and local wage and hour laws.
• Experience handling complex wage and hour matters including class, collective and representative actions in federal and state courts.
• Experience defending and prosecuting breaches of restrictive covenants.
• Experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements, including executive compensation provisions.
• Ability to leverage AI driven and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, client service, and elevate legal work products.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters, from inception through resolution.
• Advise employers on workplace law issues, including employee relations, compliance, and risk management.
• Draft and negotiate employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and executive compensation provisions.
• Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
• Aptitude to apply AI driven and emerging technologies effectively to enhance efficiency, client service, and legal work product.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs.
