Confidential Law Firm in New York City seeks an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney for its New York office. The role emphasizes wage and hour litigation, complex employment matters, and direct client interaction in a fast-paced, nationally recognized practice.

Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years of substantive employment law experience, NY Bar admission, and a track record advising employers on wage/hour compliance, with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Qualificações

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing.
• 5–7 years of substantive employment law experience with a strong wage/hour focus.
• Experience advising employers on federal, state and local wage/hour laws.
• Experience handling complex wage/hour matters including class/collective actions.
• Experience defending and prosecuting breaches of restrictive covenants.
• Experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements including executive compensation.
• Ability to leverage AI-driven and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and client service.
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Advise employers on complex workplace law issues including employee relations, compliance, and risk management.
• Draft and negotiate employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and executive compensation provisions.
• Represent clients in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
• Aptitude to apply AI driven and emerging technologies effectively to enhance efficiency, client service, and legal work product.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic, practical solutions tailored to client needs.
