Job summary

Jobot is seeking an associate in our Labor and Employment practice in New York, representing employers in a wide range of workplace matters. This role blends litigation and advisory work, with hands-on exposure and early client-facing opportunities.

You will handle employment-related disputes in courts and before agencies, draft pleadings, review documents, and advise management on policies and risk mitigation while collaborating with a team of experienced attorneys.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the jurisdiction you will practice.
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues
• Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and dispute resolution processes
• Advise clients on employment-related issues, including workplace policies and employee relations
• Assist with compliance guidance and risk assessment related to employment laws
• Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategy and case development
