Job summary

Career Legal is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate for its Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience and will handle sophisticated employment litigation and counseling matters for a diverse client base.

You will represent employers in labor and employment disputes, advise on leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, termination issues, and draft employment-related documents while working closely with senior attorneys and clients across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of Labor & Employment experience.
• Defense-side / employer-side employment practice experience.
• Strong employment litigation experience.
• Experience providing employment counseling and compliance advice.
• New Jersey Bar admission preferred.
• Strong academic background.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in labor and employment disputes.
• Handle complex litigation including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodations, and other employment claims.
• Assist with class and collective action matters.
• Advise employers on workplace compliance and day-to-day employment issues.
• Counsel clients regarding leaves of absence, performance management, wage and hour compliance, and terminations.
• Draft and review personnel policies, employment agreements, and other employment-related documents.
• Work closely with senior attorneys while maintaining direct contact with clients.
• Assist with matters for businesses across industries.
