Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a Surgical Technology program certificate, and BLS. Experience in labor and delivery or OR settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of surgical technology experience is preferred.
• Labor and Delivery, obstetrics, operating room, or cesarean section experience is a plus.
• Certificate from an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for cesarean sections and other obstetrical surgical procedures.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Set up operating and procedure rooms before scheduled and emergency cases.
• Maintain proper sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
• Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and preparation between cases.
• Support nurses, physicians, and other members of the Labor and Delivery team.
• Assist with patient care activities under supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Sterilize instruments and ensure supplies are properly stored and available.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the unit as needed.
