Job summary
Elliot Hospital's Perinatal Care Team is seeking a Perinatal Care Technician to support Labor and Delivery operations, including prepping sterile instruments and assisting RNs in the OR. The role requires an NH LNA license and hospital experience in labor and delivery, with responsibilities across patient care, equipment maintenance, and unit readiness.
Shifts are nights, with duties spanning from instrument handling to patient transport and ensuring sterile fields throughout procedures.
Qualifications
- High school graduate required.
- State of NH Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) licensure required.
- Minimum of two years of health care experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Prior knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile instruments for surgical cases, including cesarean sections.
- Scrub in for L&D, assist RN circulator, and maintain sterile field.
- Inventory, clean and decontaminate Labor & Delivery equipment.
- Transport patients and provide age-appropriate patient care under RN supervision.
- Assist with case preparation, instrument counts and environmental cleanliness.
- Maintain unit supplies and communicate equipment needs to staff.
