Job summary

Trinity Health's Family Birth Center in Minot, ND seeks a Surgical Technician to support obstetric procedures, including cesarean sections, and to assist with daily Labor & Delivery operations.

You will maintain sterile fields, assemble instruments, stock supplies, and perform clerical tasks to aid patient safety and workflow. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and familiarity with infection-control practices in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Requires either a Surgical Tech or CST and UAP/Technician upon hire; or nursing license in ND/compact.
• Surgical Tech training or Nursing program licensure evidenced.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and aseptic techniques; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for labor and delivery.
• Select, assemble, and organize surgical instruments per procedure.
• Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques.
• Ensure cleaning, sterilization, and storage of instruments post-procedure.
• Stock and inventory supplies; transport patients and equipment.
• Perform clerical tasks: chart prep, order entry, documentation.
• Support nursing staff and maintain room readiness.
