Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist in the operating room during cesarean births and in LDRPP rooms for vaginal births. The ST will also handle cleaning, restocking, and routine maintenance of equipment and supplies in The Birth Place.

The role requires completion of an approved Surgical Technician program, BCLS certification, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds while following hospital orientation and asepsis principles.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technician program.
• Thorough knowledge of principles of surgical asepsis.
• Certification in BCLS.
• Completion of hospital and unit orientation addressing age and population needs.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and pass basic FIT test.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for cesarean births in the OR and vaginal births in the LDRPP rooms.
• Clean, restock, and maintain equipment and supplies in The Birth Place.
