Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to support cesarean birth procedures in the OR and vaginal births in the LDRPP areas. The role includes maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring equipment readiness in The Birth Place.

The ST will have access to patient health information and may access medication storage areas related to job duties, under appropriate supervision and policies.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved program for Surgical Technicians.
• Certification in BCLS.
• Successful completion of hospital and unit-specific orientation including age and population specific skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and treatment for patients undergoing cesarean birth in the Operating Room.
• Support patients having vaginal births in the LDRPP rooms.
• Clean, restock, and perform general maintenance of equipment and supplies in The Birth Place.
• Access patient health information as required by job responsibilities.
