Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, seeks a Surgical Tech for the Labor and Delivery department on a full-time night schedule. You will prepare the operating suite, provide intraoperative instrument support, and assist with patient handling from prep to draping.

The role requires BLS and NBSTSA or NCCT credentialing, with education options spanning high school equivalency to associate/technical degrees or extensive related experience.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire date, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from NBSTSA or NCCT prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures.
• Assist in patient preparation, transportation, positioning and draping for safety and comfort.
• Maintain organized instrument field and track item counts to prevent retained objects.
