Job summary

Ascension is seeking an obstetric surgical tech to support labor and delivery in Round Rock, TX. You will prepare sterile suites, assist with patient positioning, and pass instruments during deliveries and procedures.

Qualifications

• BASED credential requirements with NBSTSA or NCCT and BLS within specified timelines.
• Qualifications include surgical technology credentials and basic life support.
• Education path includes diploma equivalency or associate/technical degree or extensive related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare labor, delivery, and operating suites with sterile fields and OB-GYN instruments for routine and emergency procedures.
• Assist surgical team with setup, transport, positioning, and draping of patients.
• Pass instruments, sponges, and supplies to clinicians during deliveries and surgeries.
• Organize instruments and reconcile counts to support safe, efficient procedures.
