Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Labor and Delivery/OR support role at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The position is night shift, full-time, in the Labor and Delivery department, supporting the surgical team by preparing the operating suite and passing instruments during procedures.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, draping, and instrument counts, with emphasis on safety and efficiency. Licensure and BLS certification are required, with education and experience as stated in the ad.

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification / Registration required; BLS Provider per American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand required instruments to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments and track counts during procedures.
• Assist surgeons with hemostasis during surgery.
