Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Surgical Tech to support the LDRP unit including C-sections and vaginal births. The role works 36 hours per week, on a 12-hour night shift schedule, with on-call requirements and every other weekend/holiday rotation.

Candidates must complete an accredited Surgical Technology program and obtain BLS within 6 months. The position emphasizes aseptic technique, OR equipment knowledge, customer service, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques in preparation of materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of operating room equipment and setup for procedures.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong teamwork and continuous education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean, safe operating area and assists in preparing sterile field.
• Performs procedures knowledge and assists surgeon as Second Assistant when needed.
• Sets up OR room, moves equipment, and ensures instrument availability.
• Notifies staff of equipment/supply issues and transports patients/equipment as needed.
• Adheres to age-specific patient care and departmental policies.
