Job summary

Advocate HealthCare in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support LDRP operations, including C-sections and vaginal births, during 3 night shifts per week. The role requires completing a Surgical Technology program and BLS within 6 months. No prior experience is required, with on-call reporting within 30 minutes.

The position emphasizes aseptic technique, instrument handling, and teamwork in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques and operating room equipment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe OR environment conducive to patient care.
• Assist with gowning/gloving, prep, draping, and passing instruments.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and assist in procedures.
• Assist Surgeon as Second Assistant when needed.
• Report equipment or supply problems and transport supplies.
• Position and move patients; adhere to safety protocols.
• Follow age-specific care principles per department standards.
