Job summary

The Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Multispecialty Care team at St John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. This role focuses on hands-on acute patient care at the bedside within Labor and Delivery, coordinating care with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates are patient-focused, mission-driven caregivers with RN licensure in the state of practice; a BSN is preferred and BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required. BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care and coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and answering questions.

Education
