Job summary

Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed facility offering comprehensive emergency, maternity, pediatric and cardiovascular services in Las Vegas. The Valley Health System seeks exceptional nurses to provide safe, patient-centered care and to lead clinical teams while upholding UHS standards.

RN candidates should have a nursing degree, NV license, and required certifications. BSN is preferred; a pre-employment assessment is required and a Nevada interim license may be needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
• Experience: One-year acute care experience or completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• License/Certification: Current RN license in NV. BLS. ACLS for adults, PALS for pediatrics, or NRP as required by department.
• Other: Must pass pre-employment assessments required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees under supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
