Job summary

The Valley Health System in Las Vegas is seeking a registered nurse to provide safe, competent care in our hospital setting, following policies and the patient-centered care philosophy. You will lead and support the healthcare team, and ensure service excellence at all times.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing education, acute care experience, and active Nevada RN license with current BLS/ACLS/PALS or NRP as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under their supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
