Job summary

Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, part of The Valley Health System (VHS), seeks a registered nurse to deliver safe, high-quality care in a busy acute care setting.

You will lead and support the healthcare team, uphold patient-centered standards, and participate in ongoing education and practice improvements. Must have NV RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications; BSN preferred; acute care experience preferred; pre-employment assessments required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
